YouTV is a television shopping channel featuring a rotating lineup of exclusive product offers. While they don’t sell products directly, they act as a referral partner, linking viewers to advertiser offers. Their WordPress site wasn’t delivering value: it lacked proper tracking, was difficult to update, and didn’t reflect the channel’s dynamic nature. The site was meant to support advertiser visibility and viewer engagement, but in its previous form, it wasn’t meeting either goal.

Our Approach

We migrated YouTV to Shopify to create a more modern, flexible platform that would make it easy to upload and manage on-air offers. The new site functions as a central destination for viewers to browse current offers and link out to purchase.

We focused heavily on SEO from launch by structuring the site and content for organic visibility. We used advertiser names, product descriptions, and offer categories to expand search relevance and bring in visitors who might not have seen the watching live.

  • Make the site easier for the YouTV team to manage and update frequently
  • Improve engagement and discoverability of on-air offers
  • Create a fast, mobile-first experience for casual and returning visitors
  • Build out organic search presence using offer categories and product metadata
  • Lay the foundation for measuring advertiser performance via referral activity

The Results

The site went live in late 2024 and immediately showed traction in search and viewer behaviour. While the shift from mostly branded queries to broader product terms impacted click-through rate (CTR), overall visibility, engagement, and offer views grew month-over-month, with more users engaging with offers from search and direct visits.
